About the Founder
Jake Zinn is the founder of Beepr. A Charleston College alumnus, he always found the music industry “oversaturated”, and yet when it comes to finding the latest tune, he always got frustrated about “not knowing when artists dropped new music”. He also wanted to do something about the under-represented artists in the industry.
This inspired him to create a musical personal assistant and a content aggregator – Beepr.
What is Beepr exactly?
Beepr is a real-time personalized music notification system and content aggregator for new music, interviews, music videos, news, and touring. The app helps boost small labels and artists through vivid exposure. It also helps the artists themselves by collecting data and analytics for small artists which can help them boost their marketing and promotion efforts and get closer to their listeners. Launched on April 1st, the app is growing exponentially and has already gained over 4,000 users by solving a key user problem.
Becoming an Entrepreneur and Accomplishments
One of Zinn’s favourite parts about being an entrepreneur is “to be able to break new grounds and create new opportunities” by coming out of one’s comfort zone.
“My biggest accomplishment was launching Beepr. I had this idea in my mind for years and watching it come alive and having people in the industry get excited about it makes me extremely happy. But all this is just the beginning.”, he says.
It’s no secret that music tech is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. With Beepr’s innovative and ambitious founder, we can’t wait to see all the new things he is going to bring to the table through his plans to strategize, collaborate and partner up with the key players in this industry.
